NGOs at Ganderbal organized Musical Concert on Drug Abuse

A musical concert was organized by the NGOs (Pukaar and Nou Gash) at Town Hall, Ganderbal and was themed under ‘Menace of Drug addiction’.

On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal, Director PFMS J&K Shakeel Maqbool, Director DD News Kashmir, Salman Qazi, ROC J&K and Ladakh, Haamid Bukhari and other concerned were present.

The concert was organized to educate the young generation about the dangerous effects of drug abuse. During this program a variety of singing performances were presented by the artists of the valley with the purpose to educate the audiences about the ill effect of drugs on our society. On addressing the audience, the DC stressed for pro-active role to curb the menace of drug abuse in Kashmir district. He emphasized on all the sections of society to play an important role in creating awareness among the masses about drug abuse. He also appreciated the organizers for conducting this Musical Concert highlighting the importance of Youth in building a prosperous society.

In the end of the day, the participants were given mementos and appreciation certificates. Overall, the program was witnessed by the overwhelming participation of the citizens of the district.
