Students Welfare Department of Jammu University in its continuous efforts is providing a virtual platform to their students to perform their talents through online Art & Craft Competiton. The results of this competition were declared by Prof. Jasbir Singh, Dean of Students Welfare.
In the Painting competition, the first position was bagged by Bharti Heer, a student of Law School, JU while the second position was secured by Nitika Khullar from the Department of Environmental Sciences, Jammu and the third positing was bagged by Shabeena Khurshid from Stephens College of Nursing Jammu. The competition was judged by Prof Sanjana Kaul.
In the category of Cartooning, the first position was secured by Sivani Devi of Stephens College of Nursing Jammu, while the second position was secured by Shabnam Mazhair from Stephens College of Nursing Jammu and the third positing was bagged by Vishali Jamwal from KC College of Education Jammu. Merit Certificate was awarded to Ritika Gupta from The Law School, JU. The competition was judged by Manoj Chopra.
In the Mehandi competition, the first position was bagged by Shaesta Bano from GCW, Gandhi Nagar whereas second and third positions were bagged by Pritika Gupta from School of Sciences, CU Jammu and Bharti Heer from The Law School, Jammu University respectively.
In Poster Making Competition, the first position was bagged by Mohinder Kumar from the Department of Environmental Sciences, Jammu University while the second and third positions were bagged by Bharti Heer from The Law School, Jammu and Vasudha Sharma from Department of Law, Jammu University respectively. Merit Certificates were awarded Neekha Rani from Stephen College of Nursing and Poonam Sharma from BMS Institute of Paramedical Sciences J&K. The competition was juged by Amir Almansoor.
In Rangoli Competition, first position was bagged by Anjali Jain from GCW, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu whereas second position was shared by Agamya of CU Jammu and Mohinder Kumar from Department of Environmental Science, JU. Third position was bagged by Nekha Rani from Stephens College of Nursing. The competition was judged by Prof Samridhi Arora.
Certificate of Appreciation in Sketching was given to Ritika Gupta from The Law School, JU and Anmol Bains from Institute of Music and Fine Arts, JU.
In Collage Competition Certificate of Appreciation was given to Bharti Heer from The Law School, JU and Mohinder Kumar and Anmol Bains from Department of Environmental Science, JU.
Prof Jasbir Singh, Dean Students Welfare shared his views on this competition that nothing was possible without the support and participation of students. He also urged students, scholars and members of the Society to participate in such competitions which are being organized by the Department of Students Welfare, JU.
Vice Chancellor of Jammu University, Prof Manoj K Dhar said that department will organize more such activities that would involve a large number of students and other youngsters to participate in these activities.
The competition was organized under the guidance of Chairperson, Prof Anupama Vohra who is Campus Cultural Committee and Prof Samridhi Arora, Co-Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee. The competition was coordinated by Cultural Officer, Ifra Kak (SW) and technical support was provided by Technical Assistant (SW) by Arif Paul.
